The Ausable Chasm is certainly a chasm, with steep cliffs along both sides and whitewater between, it makes for a scenic journey. At roughly one mile, it's not a terribly long rafting trip. River rafting here is only done through the on-site rafting company, who also provides a shuttle option. For those that do not want to wait for the shuttle to take them to the put-in, there is a mile long, scenic river trail called, Inner Sanctum. It's an intermediate level trail that takes one directly to the put-in and is the one mapped in this route.
